Change is essential for keeping a company at the forefront of innovation and staying competitive, though it can be challenging. Change itself refers to introducing what will be different, while transition represents employees' responses to that change. Managing transition is key to ensuring change is both strategic and sustainable, as employees react uniquely to new ways of working. Without dedicating time and resources to support this transition, change may be difficult to sustain.
This two-part class addresses how to normalize and manage change across a company, focusing on:
- Introducing change to employees
- Assessing employee readiness for change
- Engaging and motivating employees to embrace change
- Supporting employees' emotional responses to change
- Evaluating the ongoing effects on both employees and the company
